How do I access therapy at the Fitzrovia Psychology Clinic?
To begin, please contact us via telephone or email to enquire about the services that we can provide. We will endeavour to respond within 48-hours, and will guide you through the next steps.
What happens next?
Following your initial enquiry, we will organise a brief telephone consultation with one of our clinical psychologists to warmly welcome you to the Fitzrovia Psychology Clinic. During this consultation, we will gather some basic information about you, your needs, and your hopes and goals, in order to recommend a gold standard package of care for you based on the latest theory and evidence. At this point, we will also be able to establish which clinician(s) may be best suited to support you. If you are happy to proceed, we will then organise your first formal assessment appointment with the agreed clinician(s), who will contact you directly to organise this and who will support you throughout the rest of your journey at the Fitzrovia Psychology Clinic. We encourage your active collaboration throughout this entire process.
Can I refer myself or do I need to be referred by a doctor?
Your GP, psychiatrist or another professional can refer you to the Fitzrovia Psychology Clinic, or you can contact us directly. It is important to know however that even if you self-refer, we are obliged to request and confirm your consent to liaise and share information with your GP and/or psychiatrist before we can proceed.
Can I choose which therapist I work with?
Absolutely. In your initial enquiry, please specify if you have a preference of therapist that you would like to work with and we will do our best to arrange this. We will however advise if another therapist may be better suited to offering therapy for your particular needs, as each therapist has their own area(s) of speciality.
How can I leave feedback about my experience at the Fitzrovia Psychology Clinic?
At the end of treatment, we will kindly ask you to complete a short client satisfaction questionnaire to let us know about your experience at the Fitzrovia Psychology Clinic. We will use this information to keep improving our services. You can also request to speak to one of the founding members by sending an email to hello@thefitzroviaclinic.com
Fees & Payment
Initial telephone consultations are non-chargeable. Fees for assessment and routine psychological therapy appointments thereafter range from £160-£360. We accept all major health insurance providers and self-funding options.
Fees are variable dependent upon health insurance cover, the individual clinician(s) involved in your care, the treatment package being provided and session location.
Please ensure to read the terms and conditions sent to you by your clinician prior to attending your initial appointment, which will detail and confirm payment information. For further information, please get in contact.
How long do appointments last?
The initial telephone consultation will last 15 minutes in duration.
Assessment appointments and routine sessions following this will last between 45-50 minutes dependent on the clinician.
There may be times when extended sessions are required in order to complete the tasks of therapy. This will be arranged in advance between you and your clinician.
How do you ensure and promote equal inclusion and accessibility to the services you provide for those who need additional support or modifications?
All clinicians who work at the Fitzrovia Psychology Clinic practice in line with the ethical codes of conduct laid out by their professional body. They are therefore equipped with extensive knowledge, experience and training in providing modifications to the services provided to ensure and promote equal inclusion and accessibility.
If you require any additional support or modifications to the services we provide, please get in contact so we can organise this for you in advance. For example, ensuring wheelchair access, arranging professional interpreters, or making amendments to written materials.
